My approach to color

I never want my clients to leave with artificial-looking hair color. I want their hair color to be indiscernible from what happens naturally and I’m not willing to sacrifice the integrity of of a client’s hair for a trendy look. Even something as simple as highlights often look unnatural, which is why I’ve designed and developed a method of hair coloring that gives the look of dimensional highlights without damaging my client’s hair by putting in actual highlights.

One of the most exciting aspects of color is that every client brings their own chemistry to the table. I can take the same hair color formula, apply it on three different clients in the exact same way and the end result will be different because of their hair chemistry. The truth is, hair color should not take evenly on every strand of hair. To say all hair color has to be even goes against nature because hair doesn’t naturally grow out of people’s heads the same color.

When creating the right color for a client, I take into consideration their natural hair color, skin tone and eye color. All of that information provides me with a general direction on where I should go with their color and I firmly believe no one should never go darker or lighter than three shades from their natural hair color. I never want people to look at my client’s hair and know it has been colored.

I want people to look at my client’s hair and believe they were born with it.
