Do you have a preferred product line?

I only use Renbow, a UK brand of non-toxic color, because they have a realistic handle on hair color and theory as it pertains to real world hair color chemistry. None of their colors are pre-ashed and it’s one of the only color lines I can apply from roots to ends, giving me greater flexibility to create the right color for my clients.

I found a photo online of a hairstyle and color I love, can you replicate it?

I always tell my clients it’s fine to bring their photo, but I’m probably going to look at it and find a version of what was brought in that fits them, their hair and their life. I also prefer not to focus on trendy styles and colors and instead have turned my attention to natural-looking hair color and solid, fundamental haircutting. The unfortunate part about fads is that certain hair styles are not maintainable to the average person and many color trends are impossible to undo. I not only want my clients to be happy when they leave my chair, but I want them to leave with a style and color that works for their lifestyle.

I’m starting to go gray. Can you restore my hair to the vibrant color I had growing up?

Yes and no. I firmly believe all color should never be more than three shades lighter or darker from where they’re starting from, and over the years, their natural color may have shifted from the shade they had growing up. Secondly, the colors and formulations I use, do not cover gray opaquely. There’s a big misnomer in the industry that it’s supposed to cover opaquely and that’s simply not true. Although the final color might not be the exact shade from their youth, a client will leave with a natural-looking, beautifully blended color that works with their skin tone and eye color.

I just had my hair done and it’s a disaster. Can you fix it?

It’s possible but I can’t guarantee I’ll be able to undo what has already been done, especially when it comes to color. If you’d like to discuss how I can help get your hair back on track, please schedule a free 15 minute consultation by calling (707) 363-8359. We can go over what you don’t like and I can share with you the options you have for correcting your cut or color. Please know that some colors cannot be undone or changed immediately.

Why should I schedule an appointment with you?

There are thousands of stylists you could go to, but the one thing I am adamant about is honesty and transparency with my clients. I will never give you a cut or color I do not believe is right for you, even if it’s requested and I only give my clients styles they can easily maintain – unless they want a labor-intensive cut – and color that looks natural. I want my clients to look their best and want them to feel like they look their best. In doing so, I’ll be the first tell you the photo you’ve brought me isn’t right for you, and explain why the style or color won’t work with your bone structure or skin tone.

Together, we can come up with a cut and color that will give you your desired look and complement your unique features.
